Hannah Barr

Hannah is a dedicated social worker and clinician, committed to empowering clients to recognize their autonomy and become catalysts for change in their own lives. She is passionate about providing culturally sensitive and spiritually integrated counseling services to individuals and families. Hannah’s approach is holistic and tailored, focusing on fostering healing, growth, and empowerment through customized intervention and treatment strategies. As you work with her, you will experience her dedication to promoting mental, physical, spiritual, and emotional well-being.
Ms. Barr is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker Associate (LCSWA) with a Bachelor of Social Work from Mars Hill University. She earned her Master of Social Work as an Advanced Standing Student from North Carolina State University. During her MSW studies, she was a Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) Behavioral Health Scholar, where she received extensive training in behavioral health, including motivational interviewing, acceptance and commitment therapy, trauma-focused treatment, and personality disorders.
She provides counseling services to children, teens, and families and specializes in working with individuals experiencing symptoms of depression, anxiety, self-esteem issues, autism, and Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD).
Hannah is passionate about supporting middle, high school, and collegiate students in navigating the unique challenges that student athletes face. She is also open to incorporating biblical principles into sessions, for those who are interested, as faith has been vital to her own growth.
She is passionate about basketball, attending church, and having fun with her family. She has been playing basketball since she was four years old and continued throughout her undergraduate years.
